St. Charles County Department of Community Health and the Environment

 

 

Sara Evers is the Acting Director for the St. Charles County Department of Public Health. Evers led the Department in implementing their first Electronic Medical Record platform and Rapid STD Screening program. She has been with St. Charles County since 2015 as the Epidemiologist, Communicable Disease Program Manager, and then as the Assistant Director.

     

Evers received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Truman State University and her master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from Saint Louis University.  She has worked in the hospital setting as well as in clinical and research laboratories, where some of her work was published. 

 

In addition to her experience as an epidemiologist, Evers was an adjunct professor in the Lindenwood Accelerated Degree program for Healthcare Management and with Franklin University for the Saudi Electronic University in Saudi Arabia.

 

In addition to serving as a member of the Missouri Center for Public Health Excellence, Evers is a member of the American Public Health Association and National Association of City and County Health Administrators. She is also a graduate of Vision Leadership St. Charles County class of 2018.
