Cole County Health Department

 

 

Kristi Campbell is the Director of the Cole County Health Department in Jefferson City.  As director, Kristi oversees the full spectrum of public health services that the department offers as well as the financial and administrative aspects of the department. During her tenure, the health department has moved to a bigger location and expanded partnerships and services. 

 

Along with being involved in the Missouri Center for Public Health Excellence, Kristi is currently the President of the Missouri Public Health Association and participates in other organizations including the Missouri Association of Local Public Health Agencies, the HealthierMO Initiative Executive Committee, MODHSS’s Institutional Review Board,  the Community Health Center of Central Missouri Board of Directors, the Capital Region Medical Center Board of Governors, the Council for Drug Free Youth, and the Jefferson City Downtown Rotary Club.

 

Kristi was born and raised in Jefferson City and graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a degree in Geological Sciences.  She began her career as an Environmental Specialist with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, then spent ten years with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in various public health programs.

 

Kristi and her husband, Rick, live outside of Jefferson City and have two children.  They attend Faith Lutheran Church and enjoy being outdoors, hunting, traveling, and attending their kids’ sporting events.
