Fredrick L. Echols, M.D. is the Director of Health for the City of St. Louis, MO. Dr. Echols earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. He completed post-graduate training with the United States Navy in Portsmouth, VA.
During his military career, Dr. Echols served as the primary medical officer for Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16 (MALS-16) in Miramar, CA, lead medical
provider for Camp Bastion during Operation Enduring Freedom, and a member of the Aeromedical Advisory Board.
After completing his military service obligation, Dr. Echols served as the Chief of Communicable Disease for the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Director of Communicable Disease Control Services, Vector and Veterinary Programs for the Saint Louis County Department of Public Health.
